On With The Show

“We used a spinning light, editing shots with and without the mask together to represent the duality of the character of Celeste. This was a strong collaboration of me and my DP Pierre and we did a lot of tests at home to create this effect. We did a oner shot that goes from the corridor to inside the mirror, and then she stands up and goes on top of a double dolly which drags her back her seat. It was a very complicated choreography. We ended up splitting up the oner because just felt right for the music. It was a real dance of chairs on set.” - Rodrigo Inada, director
