"The most challenging part was stepping in front of the camera myself.
It was the first time I was both directing and performing, on something very personal. The idea came naturally, but recognizing myself inside it and choosing to be physically present was the real challenge. I’m used to asking others to do what I imagine, not exposing myself directly.
There’s a delicate balance between control and letting go when you’re doing both, and that tension was new to me.
On a practical level, building the house was also a challenge. Our set designer Edith and her team created a mechanism that allowed it to open into four parts like a flower. It took days of testing, but it became a key element of the film." Nicolo Bassetto, director & editor
