"The most challenging part of this production was definitely our snow portion. We were adamant about shooting in real snow rather than doing a set build, but by the time we were shooting, it was already late March and the only snow we could find was by flying to Quebec. We shot in the woods a few hours out of Montreal in a town called St-Alexis-des-Monts. Tokischa was performing barefoot in probably 1.5-2 feet of snow, so we had to be really precise with our takes and had a very short window of light. But when we saw the energy and emotion Tokischa brought to the snow performances, it all felt worthwhile." Bertram, director
