"The challenge here was giving a scene of someone drawing on a piece of paper the pace and energy of a Formula 1 commercial. The creative lived between two worlds - the phone and the F1 car - the trick was finding ways to let them bleed into each other. The idea shifted into the notion that you’re watching a designer sketch a car, only to realise he’s actually designing the phone. As the film moves from inspiration to creative realisation, we ran into all sorts of practical challenges, like making him “float” without the budget for wires. In the end we built a simple rig that let the camera and actor spin together, and even though it’s only in two shots, it gave us exactly the surreal little burst we needed to bring the idea to life."
