"Just before we were about to begin shooting, the 2025 fires broke out in Los Angeles. The impact was immediate. Our schedule was pushed back, and locations we had carefully locked began to disappear one by one. Two of our filming roads were ultimately lost to the fires entirely. Even basic logistics became unpredictable. Law enforcement escorts we were relying on would suddenly not show up.
Beyond the production challenges, it took a real emotional toll on the crew. We were working in the middle of a city where people around us were losing homes and neighbourhoods they had grown up in." Brendan Vaughan, director
