"We used the dolly zoom — also known as the Hitchcock shot — several times in different scenes throughout the film. For the cyclist sequence, we actually carried three sections of dolly track up the mountain to pull off the effect. The access was tricky, but it was absolutely worth it. We started the shot about 20 feet away and ended around 7 feet from the subject, using the Alexa 35 paired with the Canon K35 25-120mm zoom. It was one of those setups that pushed us technically. We did some tests to find the ideal speed of the dolly and the zoom and it really elevated the moment on screen." - Leonardo Ordog Kawabe, cinematographer
