"I think the most challenging part was presenting the treatment to people. Even though it included a detailed scene-by-scene breakdown and a very clear vision, it was still difficult for many people to fully imagine what the final film would look like. Looking back, some people probably did trust the idea, but because it was so different from what we're used to seeing in the region, it often felt like only a few of us could truly see where it was headed.
That naturally added pressure throughout the shoot. The biggest challenge was that the idea made much more sense as a finished film than it did on paper. It wasn't until people saw the final video that everything clicked into place and they understood what we were trying to achieve. For me, that's exactly why it's important to keep pushing for ideas that challenge expectations and bring more artistic storytelling into our region." Omar Almahri, director
