"Lighting a large section of forest at night was a real logistical challenge. Lamp placement in a maze of pine trees often felt a little arbitrary. I’ve always found moonlight particularly tricky, it can so easily slip into something overly stylised. For this project, we wanted to find a balance between the bold, cinematic moonlight of 1980s films and a more contemporary, natural nocturnal atmosphere.
