"We built the miniature city from cereal boxes and other groceries, printing and gluing paper on them. Extremely basic. We set them up like a small skyline on a table. No green screens, no VFX, just miniature sets, full-size set builds, using backdrops and practical lighting. All in-camera, back to basics shooting. It’s all a mix of scale and trickery, like Tati and Gondry old school film techniques. A bit of Trompe-l’œil and hand made skyscrapers. But it’s not about fooling anyone. It’s more about keeping it playful and open, like you’re in on the joke." - Daniel Eskils & Enzo Paredes Diaz, directors
