"The idea was to represent “proto-humans” from around the world, all united by the need to run. I teamed up with Bobby Afonso, who is a very good friend of mine. Our complementary skills were quite obvious, as he has a background as a cinematographer and I as a special effects artist, so together we were able to cover the entire spectrum of film production. He managed the “pre-shoot” and I managed the “post-shoot.” The way I work in post-production is very simple: I shoot everything on a green screen, except for the elements that will interact with the subjects. I see it as clay that we then mold in post-production.
