"What was most challenging was creating an epic sense of scale with just a very small toy figure. Playmobil sent some of the product up front. My kids & I dived in, and watching them build these wild tracks sparked exactly the feeling I wanted to craft in the film; that sense of wonder, creativity and exploration.
I wanted to shrink the viewer down into that world, to give them the same hit of adrenaline kids feel when their imagination takes over. I wanted to personify the ‘Skyrider’ and really hero the tiny figure as a beacon of adventure, even if it’s just whizzing past the kitchen fruit bowl. The film aims celebrates how big play can feel, no matter how small the world." director @josh_cohen
