The Peninsula Time

"The ambition of this piece was to make the audience feel as if they were moving effortlessly through the hotel, even though every transition connected completely different environments. Maintaining that visual continuity while shooting in a fully operational location meant every camera move, lens choice and lighting decision had to be carefully choreographed to preserve the rhythm of the film. The real challenge wasn't any individual shot, but making the entire journey feel invisible. When the camera can travel through lobbies, elevators, kitchens and suites without the audience ever thinking about the technique behind it, that's when all the planning has done its job."
