"We had the unique opportunity to be the first major project to shoot on the Fujifilm Eterna GFX 55, Fujifilm's first cinema camera, which was still a prototype when we used it on this project. Anything we did with the camera was the first time it had been done. Our goal on this project was not to create a typical camera launch film or test footage, but rather to shoot a full-fledged short film and to really put the camera through its paces in extreme filming conditions to really push it to its limits. We shot the camera in unideal minimal, naturalistic lighting conditions with extreme contrast between highlights and shadows, and in rough filming conditions and in the elements - in the weather, rain, fog and in the sand on location on the Oregon coast." - Oren Soffer, cinematographer
