"I originally had the idea for Pilgrimage over a year and a half ago. I typically work as a DP, not a director, and I had also never shot 35mm film before, so, getting over myself and my own illogical fears was the hardest part. Shooting a short experimental/abstract film on just 3.5 rolls of film also really makes you have to dial in exactly what you want to capture.
